For floodplain management applications, the map shows by tints, screens, and symbols the 100-
and 500-year floodplains, f100dways, and the locations of selected cross sections used in the
hydraulic analyses and f100dway computations.

7.0 OTHER STUDIES

Delailed information on Dry Creek from its mouth in Larimer County, through the City of Fort
Collins, and continuing upstream to a point again in Larimer County, is provided in the report
by the USACE, Omaha District, and was the basis for the 1983 revision to this study. Both the
USACE's report and this report are in complete agreement for Dry Creek (Reference 6).

Additional information on Boxelder Creek is provided in a study by Simons, Li & Associates,
Inc., in 1981 (Reference 2) and by the NRCS report in 1983 (Reference 27). Information from
these reports was utilized by the USBR in its 1992 study of BoxeIder Creek.

In August 1981, Simons, Li & Associates, Inc., completed a Master Drainageway Planning Study
for BoxeIder Creek and Cooper Slough in the vicinity of the City of Fort Collins (Reference 2).
The approximate flood boundaries for Boxelder Creek were laken from this study.

The Flood Insurance Study report for the unincorporated areas of Larimer County, Colorado, is
presently being revised to reflect the updated information for the Cache La Poudre River, Spring
Creek, and Cooper Slough. The Larimer County Flood Insurance Study report is in complete
agreement for these streams with the City of Fort Collins Flood Insurance Study report.

This study is authorilative for the purposes of the NFIP; data presented herein either supersede
or are compatible with all previous determinations.

8.0 LOCA nON OF DATA

Information concerning the pertinent dala used in the preparation of this study can be oblained
by contacting FEMA, Mitigation Division, Denver Federal Center, Building 710, Box 25267,
Denver, Colorado 80225-0267.

9.0 BIBLIOGRAPHY AND REFERENCES

1.
