This code may
be used with the multiple source code
(parameter code 443 0001) to indicate an area
not covered by any FIRM or FIS caused by
political boundaries changing between study
dates. The multiple source code is to be
used only when FEMA input has not yet
resolved existing discrepancies between maps.
It is shown by FIS symbol AlII.

This code identifies a body of open water,
such as a pond, lake, ocean, etc., located
within a community's jurisdictional limits,
that has no defined flood hazard.

Note: Lines may have more than one attribute code attached to them,
indicating that features are coincident. For example, when a floodway
boundary and 100-year boundary are coincident, that line is coded with
both the floodway boundary attribute code and the 100-year boundary
attribute code.

440

0204

Apparent Limit

440

0245

100-year
Floodplain
Boundary

440

0246

500-year
Floodplain
Boundary

10193

This code identifies a line digitized around
one of various Special Flood Hazard Area
(SFHA) patterns or Undeveloped Coastal
Barrier Area patterns when a definite bound-
ary or limiting feature does not exist. The
edge of the screen pattern is followed as
closely as possible and carries this code to
indicate the arbitrary nature of the line.

This code identifies a line that delineates
the outer boundary of a 100-year floodplain.
It is shown by FIS symbol L200.

This code identifies a line that delineates
the outer boundary of a 500-year floodplain.
It is shown by FIS spnbol L200.

43
