S~ Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, has <br />completed Flood Plain Information Reports on Lower St. Vrain Creek, <br />Volume III, and Upper St. Vrain creek, Volume IV, Boulder County, <br />Colorado, dated June 1972 and September 1972, respectively; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, s,aid Flood Plain Information ',Reports outline and <br />describe the flood water runoff channels within the above described <br />areas; , and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes' <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water ~unoff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60~l, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Boulder County Board of Commiss{oners has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and- <br />approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. <br />Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Information Reports; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of tne Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Reports and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the reports as being <br />subject to an intermediate regional flood; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board in regular'meetinq assembled in Glenwood Springs, <br />Colorado, this lIth day of July, 1973, that it does hereby designate <br /> <br />,", <br />
