In reviewing
the cost estimates submitted by numerous firms, we have determined that
one such proposal i.s sUbstantially below others submitted in terms of
costs. In that this particular proposal does not follow the precise speci-
fications outlined by the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested
by our office, it was felt your firm should have the opportunity to make
similar adjustments with regard to specifications.

The firm in question has requested. the following basic changes with regard
to specifications. The firm has proposed to utilize a Kern PG2 SSL Stereo
Plotter for contour compilation and cross sections. Using this equipment,
it would be feasible to change targeting specifications; i.e., main stream
panels would be at approximately 2000' intervals with at least four (4)
-surveyed points in each overlapping stereo area. Requirements for photo-
graphic quality, overlap, etc., would be in accordance with "Standard
Specifications for Aerial Photography for Photogrammetric Mapping",
publ ished by the U.S. Geological Survey dated January 15, 1972. Contact
prints would be at a scale of 1" = 860'. The firm has guaranteed to meet
National Map Accuracy Standards.

,
,
f
~
t
,
t
I

In view of these changes, we would appreciate receIvIng any amendments to
your proposal which you feel are appropriate in view of the above infor-
mation. These amendments must be received by our office no later than
Thursday, June 12, 1975. We would also appreciate a note if you do not
intend to submit an amendment.

If you have any questions regarding the above, please feel free to contact
illY offi ce or Mr. Larry Lang of the Co 1 orado Water Conserva ti on Board.
Thank you once again for your consideration of this matter.

Si ncere ly ,~;'
J;/{Z/).-'/ <:,I';;?j /:2'Ju:A.
~ , 17
Gary Z.
