<br />possible with an X3 card because encroachllll!nt stations specified on an <br />X3 card are used on every profile of a ..ltiple profile run. <br />The s_ry printout in Appendix III shows the COIIIputed results <br />fOr the second trial. The second profile produced a profile within <br />the one foot limit. Had the stations of encroachment at Section 0.34 <br />not been adjusted as indicated previously. the c~uted water surface <br />elevation at Section 0.55 would have exceeded the one foot 1 imit. The <br />third profile. with encroachllmt stations based on a consideration of <br />al ig_nt of the encroachments and fill requirements, was IIOre conservative. <br />The computed profile was well within the one fOot limit. Because the <br />geometry of the sections was considered in the third profile. it <br />would probably be the preferred profile. The second profile would <br />reflect the maxilUll limit for encroachments, The position of the <br />designated floodw~ and the hydraulic characteristics (e.g.. depths and <br />velocities) of the corresponding profile should be carefully reviewed. <br /> <br />15 <br />
