coordinates due to the fact that the C.V.I.
coordinates are based on sea level, while
Kucera's are modified to a plane.

These orthophotos were compiled by Northway-
Gestalt at a scale of 1"=200' with a 2' contour
i nterva 1.

Vertically we tied to within I l'

Horizontally we found that there was a ~X of -12'
and a ~ Y of 39' between the two maps. C. V. 1.
tied into Western States control pt. 08 with
these results:

The differnce in the coordinates of pt. 08
arise because the Western States coordinates
have been adjusted to fit into the grid system
established by the oil shale mines and plants.

These maps were compiled by Intermountain
Technical Services at a scale of 1" =100' with
five foot contour intervals.

Vertically we tied into this mapping to within
I two feet.

Horizontally the two maps didn't tie together.
In compari ing the maps we found a ~X of approx-
imately -475 feet and a ~Y of approximately -168
feet.
