Terry A. Bowen, PE

Related Experience---continued

Monterey County Water Management Plan, California. Project engineer
responsible for performing flood routing and analysis using the U.S. Corps of
Engineers HEC-I Flood Hydrograph model for Nacimiento and San Antonio
Reservoirs in the Salinas Valley, California. Evaluated various alternative operating
procedures, including spillway widening, dam crest elevation changes, and flood
pool elevation options.

Magnesite Wash Flooding Law,mit, Overton, Nevada. Project Engineer
responsible for the hydraulic analysis task. Provided technical review of the
plaintiffs claims and used the HEC-2 model to develop hydraulic input to support
the defendant's position.

Alisa Creek/Ben Brown Deposition Review and Preparation, Orange County,
California. Project Manager for the hydraulic analysis task. Used the HEC-2 model
to develop hydraulic data. This project involved reviewing court depositions and
documents, and conducting hydraulic analyses to support Orange County's defense
in a flooding lawsuit.

Zion Scenic Drive Improvements, Zion National Park, Utah. Project engineer for
the hydraulic analysis of a proposed channel relocation. Responsible for using the
HEC-RAS model to determine the adequacy of a proposed channel relocation and
erosion control measures for this emergency roadway reconstruction project. Th is
project involved the evaluation and design of the reconstruction of 1250 feet of
roadway damaged by a landslide in Zion National Park.

Vorba Linda Lawsuit, California. Project Engineer for the hydraulic and scour
analyses for a lawsuit in which a developer was accused of causing a landslide. The
developer's drainage system and energy dissipator were blamed for causing
excessive erosion at the toe of an unstable slope. Evaluated the developer's
hydrology and hydraulics studies and energy dissipator design, collected and
analyzed precipitation data for the storm that led to the slope failure, and prepared a
HEC-6 sediment transport model for the channel at the toe of the slope.

Gila River/Gillespie Dam Lawsuit, Arizona. Project Engineer for the hydraulic
and scour analysis for a lawsuit in which the dam owners are accused of aggravating
the scour resulting from a major nood in January t993. Modified an existing HEC-6
sediment transport model which was prepared for a gas pipeline project just
downstream of the dam. Used the model to investigate the effects of upstream
channel clearing activities on the scour potential at the pipeline,

aO&,lLE
