After crossing Bennett Avenue, the channel flow, in a westerly direction to an intersection with a tributary channel which follows Teller County One from west to cast. At this intersection, the channel then flows in a southerly direction through the undeveloped southwest portion of the city anJ out of the corporate limits. DRAI;'\o'AGE STRUCTURE J~PROVEMENTS This section presents a Jiseussion of specific drainage structure conditions and offers recommended solutions to correct inaJequacies. Preliminary cost estimates have been prepared baseJ on the recommended solutions and are presented in Section VII of this master plan. The location and alignment of the proposed improvements is shown schematically on Exhibit No.2, "Drainage Structures; and Exhibit No.3, "Bennett Avenue Storm Sewer System." Results of a field inventory of existing drainage structures is included in Appendix C of this report, Details of existing drainage :;tructures are summarized in Table 5 in Appendix B, " Existing Drainage Structure Evaluation." Table No.5 provides information on struelllre size, materiaJ,availableheadwater, ent raneeconditioTl,capacity, required capacity and adequacy. Table 6 in Appendix B, "Recommended Drainage Structure Improvements" provides a summary of all drainage infrastructure improvements recommended by this master plan. Master planning is a dynamic process and is not intended to, 'ca,t recommended improvements in slOne," tlut ralher provide guidcline~ under which future improvements should be made. Variations in propo,ed land use and Jevelopment may occur which will require revi,ions or modifications to the proposals contained herein. The recommended improvements to storm water drainage facilities contained in this report should he reviewed anJ their required hydraulic capacities, grades, sizcs and alignments should be verified during the preliminary design phase for each individual improvemcmprojecl. In most instances, these culverts are of adequate size, but in some ca<;es in need of repair or cleaning.
