This report includes a further examination of the alternate
plan recommended in Phase A, and a drainage and flood control pre-
liminary design for the selected alternate plan in sufficient detail
for planning and proceeding with final design plans and specifications.

The selected plan includes channel improvements of various design
frequencies, underground conduits, box culverts, and a sedimentation
pond for water quality control. The estimated total cost of the
~1aster Plan Improvements is $3,748,000.00, which includes costs for
land acquisition; engineering and contingencies, and fiscal, legal
and administrative expenses. The present worth of the annualized
operation and maintenance costs (50-year, 6-~%) is estimated at
$95,700.00. A breakdown of these costs is presented with each of
the plan and profile drawings.

It is recommended that the initial construction effort be directed
to open the saddles near the Marston Lake caretaker's house and the
channel improvement in the Denver Water Board property. The most
significant effect of the improvements will be the reduction of
flood stage and the prevention of storm water entering Marston Lake.

CAMP DRESSER & McKEE INC.

tv;C4t--S~ ~

Wen-Sheng L~9 .~
Associ ate

,~~

DFFICIAL COpy

Wayne Fi sher
Senior Vice President

COLORADO \'iATER CQrI!SERVf,TION BOARD
823 SFJE CENTEN:':lAL BUILDING
1313 S!iERMi\N STREET
DEr~VER, COLORADO 80203

,
