RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban completed a floodplain information map
entitled "Flood Hazard Boundary Map, Town of Ordway, Colorado, Crowley County" on August 22, 1975;
and

WHEREAS, said map includes approximate floodplain information for those portions of the Central
Basin and the East Basin within the corporate limits of the Town of Ordway, as they were on August 22,
1975; and .

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has not designated and approved said map; and

WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain information map
entitled "Flood Insurance Rate Map, Town of Ordway, Colorado, Crowley County" on December 18, 1985;
and

. WHEREAS, said map includes approximate floodplain information for those portions of the Central
Basin and the East Basin within the corporate limits of the Town of Ordway, as they were on February 5,
1986; and

and

WHEREAS, said map was prepared directly from the August 22,1975 Flood Hazard Boundary Map;

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has not designated and approved said map; and

WHEREAS, Simons, Li & Associates, Inc., under contract to the Town of Ordway, completed a
floodplain information report entitled "Flood Plain Study and Master Drainage Plan, Town of Ordway,
Colorado" in June 1987; and

WHEREAS, said report includes approximate f100dplain information for those portions of the Central
Basin and the East Basin; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has not designated and approved said report;

and

WHEREAS, a new floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, Town of
'1rdway, Colorado", dated July 1994, has been prepared by the Colorado Water Conservatiun Board; and

. WHEREAS, said new report includes approximate floodplain information for those portions of the
Central Basin and the East Basin within the corporate limits of the Town of Ordway, as they were in July
1994; and
