A NPDES permit would need to
be obtained prior to construction activities.

Effects on water quality would be minor and
short term.

Approximately, 0.1 acre of wetlands
adjacent to the South Platte River would be
affected.

Based on information supplied by the
USFWS, three federally endangered
species. one federally threatened species,
one federal candidate species, and one
proposed threatened species have the
potential to occur in Logan County. Habitats
utilized by these speCies would not be
adversely affected.

Eleven state listed or special concem
species have the potential to occur in Logan
County. None of these species would be
adversely affected.

Approximately 45 acres of vegetation would
be affected during construction, of which 33
acres are cropland and 8 acres are
upland/riparian vegetation. Impacts to
vegetation would be short term.

Cropland and upland/riparian vegetation
represent potential wildlife habitat.
Approximately 42 acres of these two
vegetation types would be disturbed during
construction. Wildlife species would use
surrounding areas during construction and
rapidly repopulate the project area once
vegetation has been re-established.

Contractor would be required to use
sediment control procedures to reduce the
amount of sediment entering the South
Platte River. A NPDES permit would need
to be obtained prior to construction activities.

Effects on water quality would be minor and
short term.

Approximately, 0.5 acre of wetlands
adjacent to the South Platte River would be
affected.

Based on information supplied by the
USFWS, three federally endangered
species, one federally threatened species,
one federal candidate species, and one
proposed threatened species have the
potential to occur in Logan County.
