<br />I <br />Id <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />6.0 Valley Cross Sections <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />A field survey was conducted in May 1985 by <br />Woodward-Clyde Consultants for the three mile stream <br />reach'in the canyon immediately downstream of <br />Stagecoach dam. This survey includes eight cross <br />sections, four of which were used in this <br />investigation. <br /> <br />Cross, section data has been developed for <br />floodplain information reports and flood insurance <br />studies prepared for Routt County, Steamboat Springs, <br />Moffat County, Hayden, and Craig. This cross section <br />data is quite detailed but is in a format for input <br />with computer program HEC-2. Most of this data is <br />either in use by FEMA contractors or in FEMA archives <br />and is currently inaccessible. <br /> <br />Since the flows used in this investigation are <br />quite large, it was possible to develop satisfactory <br />cross sections directly from the u.s.a.s quad maps. <br />Twelve, additional valley cross sections were derived <br />from these maps. <br /> <br />14 <br />
