It is located in the NW1/4 of <br />Section 27, T4N, R84W, 6th Principal Meridian, about <br />6.8 miles downstream of Stagecoach dam and about 10.5 <br />miles upstream of Steamboat Springs. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />(. <br />, <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />It has a normal operating capacity of 7,422 acre- <br />feet and a normal surface area of 563 acres. There is <br />15 feet of freeboard between the main ogee and <br />auxilIary roller gate channel spillways, elevation <br />6900, and the top of the dam. The roller gate has <br />never been installed and flow through the roller gate <br />channel is controlled by inserting steel stop logs. <br /> <br />The discharge capacity of the ogee spillway is <br />26,000 cfs with the water at the top of the dam.
