WHEREAS, the Flood Insurance Rate Maps contained in the aforementioned study contain
detailed floodplain information for Coal Creek, Goodhue Ditch, Center Tributary and West Tributary ._
within the corporate limits of the City of Louisville; and ..

WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain information within the corporate limits of the City of
Louisville was not designated and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in Resolution
No. 337; and

WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Bullhead
Gulch and Tributaries" dated July 1991 has beeJ1 prepared by Advanced Sciences, Inc. under contract
to the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District; and

WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for Bullhead Gulch and
Tributaries within the corporate boundaries of the City of Louisville; and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water ConserVation Board, as requested by the Boulder County and
the UD&FCD, by Resolution No. 317, adopted on November 14, 1991, designated and approved the
floodplains described in said report; and

WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban completed a floodplain information map
entitled "Flood Insurance Rate Map, City of Loui~ville, Colorado, Boulder County" on January 5, 1982;
and

WHEREAS, said map includes detailed floodplain information for that portion of Goodhue Ditch, ..
Center Tributary and West Tributary within the corporate limits of the City of Louisville, as they were ..
on January 5, 1982; and

and

WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conserv<ltion Board has not designated and approved said map;

WHEREAS, a new floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Information Report,
Louisville, Colorado", dated August 1994, has been prepared by the Colorado Water Conservation
Board; and

WHEREAS, said new report includes approximate floodplain information for that portion of Coal
Creek, Goodhue Ditch and Center and West Tiibutaries within the corporate limits of the City of
Louisville, as they were in August 1994; and

WHEREAS, said new report incorporates hydrologic information from the U.S. Soil
Conservation Service Type 15 Flood Insurance study dated January 1973; and

WHEREAS, said new report incorporates the floodplain delineation of the Flood Insurance Rate
Map dated January 5, 1982; and

WHEREAS, the approximate floodplain delineation contained in said new report is consistent
with the IOO-year floodplain delineation in the U.S. Soil Conservation Service Type 15 Flood Insurance A
study dated January 1973 ; and ..
