11

HEC-1 INPUT DESCRIPTION
INTRODUCTION

1 INTRODUCTION

1.1 ORGANIZATION OF THIS INPUT DESCRIPTION

.

This input description is organized into three major types of data:
1) job description and initialization data, 2) hydrograph calculation
data, and 3) economic analysis data. This corresponds to the general
sequence of data necessary to build the digital model of a river basin as
described in the next subsection on Input Data Structure.

~

The first group, JOB DESCRIPTION AND INITIALIZATION DATA, begins with
the I cards and goes through the V cards. The 10 and IT cards are
required and are described first. The other cards are optional and are
described in a recommended input sequence, i.e., I, J, 0, V cards as
desired.

The second group, HYDROGRAPH CALCULATION DATA, comprises all of the
data necessary to simulate the various river basin processes. The input
data in this group are organized ALPHABETICALLY, beginning with the B
cards and ending with the W cards. The required and recommended order to
input these data are described in the next subsection, Input Data
Structure.

The third group, ECONOMIC ANALYSIS DATA, consists of data to be
supplied after all of the hydrologic and hydraulic calculations are
completed. These data are optional and begin with the EC card and are
organized in the recommended sequence of input.

The last card described is the REQUIRED ZZ CARD to end the job.

.

..'

Page 1
