HEC-l INPUT DESCRIPTION
JOB TYPE OPTION (J Cards)

3.3 JD CARD - DEPTH/AREA STORM

Required only if stream system is to be simulated using a consistent
depth/area relationship. Each JD card is followed by a set of PC or PI
cards giving the precipitation pattern to be used for that depth and area.
If no pattern is given following any of the second through ninth JD cards,
the previous pattern will be used.

.

Precipitation patterns may be generated using the hypothetical storm
option. PH cards are used in place of PI or PC cards. A new storm
pattern is generated for each area given on the JD cards.

FIELD VARIABLE VALUE DESCRIPTION
Col 1+2 ID JD Card identification.
1 STRM(l) + Average precipitation in inches (mm).
2 TRDA(l) + Area in square miles (sq km).
3 STRM(2) + Same as above for up to a total of 5 pairs
of depth/area values.
4 TRDA(2) + Same as above for up to a total of 5 pairs
of depth/area values.

,

.

Page 14
