<br />HEC-l INPUT DESCRIPTION <br />INPUT DATA STRUCTURE <br /> <br />1. 2 INPUT DATA STRUCTURE (Continued) <br /> <br />Each input card is described in detail on the following pages. <br />Variable locations on each card are shown by field numbers which indicate <br />the relative position of the data on the card. <br /> <br />When data are entered in FIXED FORMAT the card is divided into ten <br />fields of eight columns each, except field one. Variables occurring in <br />field one may only occupy columns 3-8 because columns 1 and 2 are reserved <br />for the card identification characters. Integer and alphanumeric values <br />must be right justified in their fields. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Data may also be entered in FREE FORMAT where fields are separated by <br />a comma or one or more spaces. Successive commas are used to indicate <br />blank fields.
