<br />- 2 - <br /> <br />I. <br /> <br />FLOOD HAZARD ANALYSES <br /> <br />The study was requested by the Fremont County through the Colorado <br /> <br />PORTIONS OF RED CANYON DRAW <br />AND TRIBUTARIES <br />FREMONT COUNTY, COLORADO <br /> <br />Water Conservation Board. One of the responsibilities of the Board is <br /> <br />to guide the proper flood plain land use and management to reduce potential <br /> <br />flood losses. It was prepared <br /> <br />by the Soil Conservation Service, U. S. Department of Agriculture, in <br /> <br /> <br />cooperation with the Colorado Water Conservation Board and Fremont <br /> <br /> <br />County. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Primary purpose of this report is to provide maps of the flood <br /> <br /> <br />hazard area so that Fremont County Can develop flood plain regulations. <br /> <br />Flood hazard analyses are carried out by the Soil Conservation <br /> <br />Urban development has spread northward from Canon City Into the flood <br /> <br /> <br />plains of Red Canyon Draw.
