In a letter dated March 16, 1999,
Mr. Newell Wright, Manager, Arapahoe County Water and Wastewater Authority, requested that FEMA
revise the FIRM and FIS report to show the effects of a revised hydrologic analysis and construction of new
detention basins, a storm-drain system, and channel improvements along Lone Tree Creek from
approximately 3,400 feet downstream of East Arapahoe Road to approximately 3,200 feet upstream of
Control Tower Road.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Bruce A. Curtis,
Ph.D., P.E., and Mr. Alan J. Leak, P.E., both Project Managers, WRC Engineering, Inc., and Mr. Wright.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM and
FIS report. We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to modifY the elevations and floodplain boundary
delineations of the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or exceeded in any given year (base
flood) along Lone Tree Creek from approximately 3,400 feet downstream of East Arapahoe Road to
approximately 3,200 feet upstream of Control Tower Road. As a result of the modifications, the base flood
elevations (BFEs) for Lone Tree Creek and the width of the Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA), the area
that would be inundated by the base flood, increased in some areas and decreased in other areas. The base
flood will be contained in the improved channel, detention basins, and storm-sewer system along the
aforementioned reach of Lone Tree Creek. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copies
of FIRM Panel(s) 08005C0480 J, Profile Panel(s) 127P through 133P, and affected portions of the Summary
of Discharges Table. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced panel(s)
of the effective FIRM and the affected portions of the FIS report, both dated August 16, 1995.
