Highway 6 (US6). This revised hydraulic analysis affects both
the City of Golden and the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County, The Special Flood Hazard Area
(SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the flood having a I-percent chance of being equaled or
exceeded in any given year (base flood), for the subject reach within the City of Golden is designated on
the effective FIRM as Zone A, with no Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) or flood hazard factors determined,

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Mr. Douglas P.
Stewart, P,E., Project Manager, and Ms, Cara Juergensen, both with Boyle Engineering Corporation, and
Ms, Lundquist.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM
and FIS report, We have revised the FIRM and FIS report to establish BFEs and to modify the SFHA
boundary delineations along Lena Gulch from approximately 4,000 feet downstream to approximately
1,900 feet downstream ofUS6, As a result of the modifications, the width of the SFHA increased in
some areas and decreased in other areas, In the southern overbank area of the main channel, a divided
flowpath exists south of Lena Gulch from approximately 3,600 feet downstream to approximately
1,800 feet downstream ofUS6, This area, Lena Gulch Overflow, has been designated Zone AH, an
SFHA subject to shallow base flooding with depths between I foot and 3 feet and BFEs determined, The
modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated copy of FIRM Panel 0002 A. Profile Panels 29P(a),
29P(b), and 29P(c) have been added to the effective FIS report. For informational purposes, adjacent
portions of Lena Gulch within the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County are shown on the profile
panels for the City of Golden. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the
above-referenced panel of the effective FIRM dated May IS, 1985, and the affected portions of the FIS
report dated November IS, 1984.

..- ---,
