I

GENERAL NOTES
FOR TRE PLATES

1. The Gore Creek streambed stationing begins at the con-

fluence of Gore Creek with the Eagle River and is expressed

in 100 foot stations.

2. In numerous locations, the 10 year and 100 year recurrence

interval floodplain limits coincided so closely that presen-
tation on the same plate would reduce overall legibility.

1

The flow depths at the reference pOints for the 10 year
recurrence interval discharge are presented on Table Itl-2-8.

3.

The confluence of Black Gore Creek with Main Gore Creek is very
poorly defined due to braiding of both channels. The exact
confluence will vary from year to year depending on the erosion
or meandering of the several channels. For the purpose of
this study, station 65.1 was chosen as the confluence and
separate stationing continued a short distance up both Main

Gore and Black Gore Creeks.
