Volume I presents <br />the text of the report, and Volume II present" the :naster plan dr-awing';. <br /> <br />Thi. text includes most of the Phase A report, so that the background material <br />is available for the readerls convenience. Section I presents a su~mary tnat <br />describes the general study and results. Also a specific chapter has been writter <br />which analyzes Maple Grove Reservoir. Senator' W. Joseph Shoemaker's legal analy-' <br />sis is presented in the appendix of the report:. <br /> <br />The master plan is basically a combination of several approaches. The primary <br />approach is one of flood plain regulation with minor erosion control 8rld replace- <br />ment: of culverts. Grass-l ined and some short reaches of concrete-vval1ed channel <br />are used in areas where development has significantly re,tricted the 1'10'11. <br /> <br />Thi::. study has investigated in detail secondary and intangible benefit,:;. <br />Operation and maintenance costs have been projected with the assistance of the <br />various entities. A new computer hydroloSlical model, MITC/\T, was IJsed in this <br />study to evaluate development, channel ization, and reservoir sensitivi~es. <br />The flood plain definition was done by use of the HEC-I I program, Jsing 225 <br />cross-sections along the Gulch. <br /> <br />Wi 11 iam C. Taggart, David J. Love, Dr. F.
