That portiOQ of the <br />basin north of the existiQg CRI&!' RR is the subjec~ of this stQdy. <br />. <br />Ai shown on the attached sketch, the bas1n is long and narrow. The <br />peak discharge from the upper basiQ will reach the proposed bridge <br />at Palll!er Park Blvd within 1.5 to 2 hours after the stom begillll. <br /> <br />The basin is open grassland with gentle rolling hilla. The averase <br /> <br />grallient over the reach of the creek is 2%. Soils are pr~~rily <br /> <br />alluvial lIilts and sands. Except for a few culvertll under r0a4s, <br /> <br />there are no existing drainage structures or storm sewers. A~ po,ell" <br /> <br />the area is used primarlly for grazlll8. There are nO surface4 rQll4. <br /> <br />ill the basin except for a short s~retch of Templeton Gap Road in the <br /> <br />upper J10rthwest COnlBr. <br /> <br />ASSUMPTIONS <br />In view of the largely undevelope4 COQdltion of the land in this <br />drainage basln, anll the pecessity of sizlng drainage facil:l~ies for <br />long range use, It has been necessary to make certain as.umptiopB <br />:rIgarlling future land \We.
