<br />, WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, .Town
<br />of Nl.lnn, Colorado," which includes floodplain information and
<br />data for Spring Creek Tributary, delted,August, 1978, has been
<br />prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc.,' under contract with, the
<br />Federal Insurelnce Administration; and
<br />

<br />, .' , " WHEREAS i said report describes and outlines the floodplain
<br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels , '
<br />,or basins of the study area; and

<br />WHEREAS, the, Town of Nunn has 'requested the Colorado
<br />Wa,ter Conservation Board to designate and ,approve the floodplain
<br />areas asset forth in the aforesaid report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) , Colorado ReviSed Statutes
<br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Gonservation' Board to assist in
<br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and

<br />WHEREAS, Section 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado
<br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of
<br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses
<br />on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only
<br />after designation and approval by the Colorado, Water Conservation
<br />Board; ahd

<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised,
<br />Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to
<br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins
<br />and ,to make such designations available to legislative bodies of
<br />local jurisdictions; and '
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the staff of the 'Board has reviewed said r~port
<br />and does hereby recommend to the colorado Water Conservation Board
<br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain ,areas those areas
<br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate 'regional flood) as
<br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said
<br />report; ,

<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser-
<br />, vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this
<br />1st day of November, 1978, that it does hereby designate and approve
<br />as floodplain areas' ,those areas described as being inundated by
<br />a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface elevations
<br />and profiles in said report; and
