Sacramento District. <br />has completed for the City of Rifle Flood Plain Information Report <br />Colorado River and Rifle. Government, and Hubbard Gulch Creeks, <br />Rifle, Colorado, dated April 1973; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines and, <br />describes the flood water runoff channels within the above described <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4). Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963. requires that the Colorado water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS. Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; arid <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Rifle has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the flood hazard areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Corps of Engineers Flood Plain <br />Information Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as <br />- --~- -flood-haza~d--aFeas --Ehose---areas-set-forth--i-rr-tlTe-rep-ort--as----Oe~ng --, <br />subject to an intermediate regional flood; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE. BE I T RESOLVED by the Colorado Wa'ter Con- <br />servation Board in regular meeting assembled in Glenwood Springs" <br />Colorado, this 11th day of July. 1973, that it does hereby designate <br />
