<br />The Yampa and Elk rivers reached flood stage May 30, and their
<br />excessive effluence washed an abundance of problems into the
<br />area, Flooding was reported from one end of Steamboat Springs to
<br />the other, as weH as in the Elk River VaHey. The troubles reached their
<br />. peak in the middle of last week when Saddle Mountain Ranch flooded,
<br />ho~~.!&lJ1e~evac~~~~~~ounty R~d 129, and Dream)sland .
<br />resIdents scriunbled to timid a'WalI of sandbags to keep the wate~ out of
<br />their homes: The high waters have since receded,
<br />and the worst is over, say county officials. It ,
