No. 188" <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />April 1, 1982 <br /> <br />R E <br /> <br />SOL U <br />- <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />o N <br /> <br />T <br /> <br />WHEREAS, A floodplain information report <br />plain Information Report, Arkansas River, <br />Gulch," dated November, 1981, has been <br />Consultants, Inc., at the request of the <br />Commissioners of Lake County and the Colorado <br />Board I and <br /> <br />entitled "Flood- <br />Lake Creek, Evans <br />prepared by MSM <br />Board of County <br />Water Conservation <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study areal and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Lake County <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />report I and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106( 1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom I and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board I and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(l}(cl, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions I and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional floOd) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in <br />said report I <br /> <br />J <br />
