2 .

,

Colorado Springs. Both the 100- and SOD-year floods are conveyed under the
Murray Boulevard.Bridge so that no portion of either flood breaks out along
Murray Boulevard, San Miguel Street, Fosdick Drive, Galley Road, Emory
Circle, and San Miguel Circle. Therefore, the Special Flood Hazard Area
(SFHA) designated as Zone AO (depth 2 feet) has been redesignated to Zone X,
areas determined to be areas of minimal flooding outside the SOD-year
floodplain, along the above-mentioned streets west of Sand Creek West Fork.
However, the SFHA has increased along Sand Creek West Fork from just upstream
of Galley Road to approximately 400 feet upstream of Murray Boulevard by a
maximum of 100 feet. Lastly, the floodway topwidths have decreased by a
maximum of 6 feet for the revised reach.

The. modifications are. shown on the enclosed annotated copies of FIRM Panels
080060 0277 D and 0281 C, Profile Panel 261P, and the Floodway Data Table for
Sand.Creek West Fork.
