<br />RESOLUTION
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Gingery Associates, Inc., under contract to the City of Brighton, the City of
<br />Commerce City, Adams County, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District and the Colorado Water
<br />Conservation Board, completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard Area Delineation,
<br />South Platte River, Adams County, Colorado" in September 1977; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for the South Platte River; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Urban Drainage and
<br />Flood Control District, by Resolution No. 84, adopted on November 15, 1977, designated and approved
<br />the floodplains described in said report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Brighton, Colorado, Adams
<br />County", dated November 16, 1977, has been prepllred by the Federal Insurance Administration; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report includes approJtimate floodplain information for those portions of
<br />the South Platte River within the corporate limits of the City of Brighton, as they were in November
<br />1977; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Gingery Associates, Inc., under contract to the Federal Insurance Administration,
<br />completed a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Adams County, Colorado,
<br />Unincorporated Areas" in August 1978; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for the South Platte River and
<br />other streams; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Board of County
<br />Commissioners of Adams County, by Resolution No. 153, adopted on January 30, 1980, designated and
<br />approved some of the floodplains described in said report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, Resolution No. 153 specifically excluded floodplain information contained in said
<br />report regarding the South Platte River from designation and approval by the Colorado Water
<br />Conservation Board; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Brighton, Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water Conservation
<br />Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Brighton, Colorado, has not requested the Colorado Water Conservation
<br />Board to rescind any portion of Resolution No. 84; and
