SWMM was calibrated from a hydrologic analysis <br />based on CUHP, completed as part of this study. The results were checked for <br />reasonableness and the condition of the existing drainage system was incorporated <br />into the final watershed routing. Figure 1 shows the basin and sub-basin <br />boundaries. Figure 4 shows the discharge-probabil ity profiles. Rainfall data and design <br />storms were determined as outlined for the Tucker Gulch analysis without the <br />application of areal rainfall reductions. Infiltration losses for the SWMM model <br />were also based on Horton's Equation as described for Tucker Gulch. <br /> <br />Detailed documentation of the hydrologic analysis is available at the offices <br />of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District. <br /> <br />Hydraulic Analysis <br /> <br />A hydraulic analysis was completed along the channel of the studied streams <br />to determine water surface elevations for the 10- and 100-year runoff events. <br />This hydraulic analysis was completed using the HEC-2 Water Surface Profile <br />Computer Program developed by the Army Corps of Engineers (Reference 11). <br /> <br />Cross section data was obtained photogrammetrica11y by digitizing sections of <br />the stream and floodplain. These sections were taken from the same photography <br />flown for the topographic mapping used in this study (~eference 3). The digit- <br />ized sections were supplemented with cross sections taken from this mapping <br />as needed.
