S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha <br />District, has completed for the city of Fort Collins and the <br />County of Larimer Flood Plain Information Report, Cache La poudre <br />River, Colorado, Volume I, Fort Collins, Larimer County, dated <br />October 1973; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines <br />and describes the flood water runoff channels within the above <br />described areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS,' Article 149-1-11(4). Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963. requires that the Color,ado Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and <br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm <br />or flood water runoff channel only after designation and approval <br />by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Fort Collins and the County of <br />Larimer have requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the <br />aforesaid U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Information <br />Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Plain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board that said Board designate and <br />approveas flood hazard-area-s--Those areas- setfo'r-tl1---rn the report <br />as being subject to an intermediate regional flood; <br />
