':;1 NO. 54 l. ) 'COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD,' 102 Columbine Building, 1845 Sherman street Denver, Colorado 80203 March 1'7, 1976 R E fl 0 L g T I 0 N WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Pleasant view Drainage Study," dated November, 1975, and covering areas of Jefferson County has been prepared by the Jefferson County Engineering Department at the request of the Jefferson county Board of county Commissioners; and WHEREAS, said report describes and .outlines the floodplain data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels .or basins .of the study, area; and WHEREAS, the Beard of County commissioners of Jefferson county has requested the Colorado Water conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain area as set forth in the aforesaid report; and ) WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board: to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and WHEREAS. Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, ColoradO Revised statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of,local juris- dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation 'and approval by the Colorado Water'Conservat:ion Board; and WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado , Revised statutes 1973" directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local juris- dictions; and WHEREAS, the staff of the Board ha1;_:r:.~vj,~.....e-"Lsaid~J:epor-t--~ - ,_c~ _~ ~ and_does-her-eby -recommend ~to'the -Coiora-do-waterconserva,tion Board that thE!
