<br />WHEREAS, the approximate floodplain information in said new report for stream reaches <br />in the City of Cortez as listed in Table I meets the requirements for approximate floodplain <br />information as listed in the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and Approval of <br />Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1), contingent <br />upon the understanding by the City of Cortez of the need for a case-by-case review of all <br />development proposals within the corporate limits; and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Castle Rock, Colorado, this 29th day of March 1999, that it does <br />hereby designate and approve as approximate floodplain information the storm or floodwater runoff <br />channels and basins, for the streams listed in Table I and as described by approximate floodplain <br />information in said Floodplain Information Report dated February 1999 contingent upon the <br />understanding that the City of Cortez will regulate those approximate floodplains on a case-by-case <br />basis, subject to appropriate hydrologic and hydralllic analyses as necessary (as outlined in Tables 2 <br />and 3) that are to be performed by a registered professional engineer and submitted by the developer <br />or development proponent; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board that it does <br />hereby acknowledge and rescind the approximate floodplain information contained on said Flood <br />Insurance Rate Map dated April I, 1977 at such t/me when the floodplain information in said new <br />report dated February 1999 is completed and accepted by the City of Cortez ; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified <br />copy of this resolution to the City of Cortez, Board of County Commissioners of Montezuma <br />County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; and the Federal Emergency Management <br />Agency. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and C0rrect copy of a resolution adopted by a majority <br />vote of the members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session assembled at <br />Castle Rock, Colorado, on the 29th day of March 1999, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br />\?~Il. ~A- <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />Peter H.
