E.L Jencsok, P.E.
Supervising Water Resource Engineer
Colorado Water Conservation Board
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, CO 80203

Dear Mr. Jencsok:

The City of Fort Collins has received notification of final
flood elevation determination from the Federal Insurance
Administration. This notice requires that the City adopt
Floodplain Banagement Regulations that meet the standards
of Section 1910.3, Chapter 19, Title 24, CFR, on or before
July 16, 1979.

As you areaware, before the City can legally enforce flood-
plain regulations based on the Flood Insurance Study, the
Colorado Water Conservation Board is required by state statutes
to designate and approve all floodplain studies. For this
reason, the City of Fort Collins wishes to request that the
Colorado Water Conservation Board designate the Flood Insur-
ance Study for the City of Fort Collins including Dry Creek,
Spring Creek and Spring Creek overflow. However, as you are
aware, the Dry Creek Study maybe subject to revision depending
on the outcorre of our current study already in progress.

Sin<:Jer

,

;,'

Richard Suinn
Mayor

RS/cm
