<br />- <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />\~ ./ <br /> <br />FPR 00-522 <br />Town of Grand Lake <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />July 24, 2000 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />PREVIOUS FLOODPLAIN INFORMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are no previously designated floodplain information reports or floodplain <br />maps for the Tqwn of Grand Lake; and <br /> <br />NEW FLOODPLAIN INFORMATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Insurance Administration completed a floodplain information map <br />for the conununity of Grand Lake entitled "Flood Hazard Boundary Map, Grand Lake, Colorado" <br />dated September 17, 1976; and <br /> <br />\VI-lliREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency converted said map to a new <br />Flood Insurance Rate Map (FIRM) by letter dated January 1,1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS said new map includes approximate floodplain information for two streams <br />within the conununity of Grand Lake; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has prepared a new report entitled <br />"Floodplain Information Report, Town of Grand L3ke, Colorado" dated July 2000 that provides <br />technical and regulatory information to accompany said map dated January 1, 1986; and <br /> <br />LOCAL REQUEST FOR DESIGNATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Grand Lake has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />to designate and approve the approximate flooelplain information as presented on said map dated <br />January 1, 1986, which is part of said new report elated July 2000; and <br /> <br />c.R.S. AUTHORITY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br />
