<br />COMMENTARY - SHEET 5 <br /> <br />TOTAL IMPROVEMENT COSTS - SHEET 5 <br /> <br />A flow separation structure is located about one-half mile west of Kipling Street at <br /> <br /> <br />the intersection of the Croke Canal and Little Dry Creek. Residential developments in <br /> <br />Item <br /> <br />Channel Improvements <br /> <br />the Basin are discharging storm waters into the canal, and the flow separation stru~ture is <br /> <br />Street Improvements <br /> <br />designed to return these storm flows to the creek. Further upstream, the Farmer's <br /> <br />Utility Relocation <br /> <br />Highline Canal also crosses Little Dry Creek. A flow separation structure is proposed at <br />this location to ensure that the canal is not overburdened with storm runoff. <br /> <br />Sub-Total <br /> <br />Contingencies (25% of Sub-Total) <br /> <br />The remainder. of the channel exists in a predominantly natural state with no im- <br /> <br />TOTAL CONSTRUCTION COSTS <br /> <br />provements required.
