This report outlines the flood
control plan selected from the Phase "An study by the sponsors, establishes
preliminary designs and criteria to be carried Into Implementation of the plan, and
concludes the work as set forth under our agreement.

The flood control plan for Little Dry Creek, as outllne<t herein, Is a combination
of specific structural and channel Improvements and a continued program of flood-
plain management, regulation, and mainatenance. The reach of the channel from
Clear Creek to West 69th Avenue In Adams County Is designed for a 25-year event,
but the freeboard on the channel sections will eontaln greater floods and reduce the
10o-year flood plain substantially. FrOm West 69th Avenue to Winona Street In
Westminster, channel sections are designed for the 10-year event, but also effectively
reduce the 100-year flood plain. Structure and channel Improvements In all other
reaches of Little Dry Creek are designed for the 10o-year event.

In addition to flood control, the plan outlined herein Includes multiple-purpose
utilization of detention facilities and channel Improvements. Many parks Improve-
ments already existed 1ft and near flood control feclllties and It Is proposed to expand
upon the parks and recreation opportunities present within the basin. Water quality Is
also addressed In the plan In a general overview.

The total cost of the structural and channel Improvements outlined by this plan
Is estimated to be $9,860,900.00, the bulk of which falls In Adams County end
Westminster. ThIs Includes structural and channel Improvements, street Improve-
ments, utility relocations, R-Q-W acquisition, engineering costs, legal &: adminis-
trative costs, contingency, and the present worth of 50-years of operation and
maintenance. These costs are broken down In the report by reach, jurisdiction, and
are Illustrated by sheet In the Drawings.

JSG/kar

Yours very truly,

W~&~

William G.
