<br />. space, agriculture, fami bridges, bams and individual residential structures, but that the <br />methodology is not appropriate for development involving residential subdivisions greater than <br />50 units or occurring on sites greater than 5 acres, commercial construction, industrial <br />construction, construction of public transportation facilities or construction of flood control <br />activities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />in regular meeting assembled in Sterling, Colorado, this 13th day of May, 1996, that it does <br />hereby designate and approve as storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those streams <br />within the City of Leadville described by approximate floodplain information in said new report <br />dated April 10, 1996, that meet the criteria for the appropriate regression equation within the <br />Arkansas River Basin as set forth in the Guidelines/or Determining lOO-Year Flood Flows/or <br />Approximate Floodplains in Colorado; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board does hereby designate and approve as <br />storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins those floodplain areas within the City of Leadville <br />described by approximate floodplain information in said new report dated April 10, 1996, that <br />do not meet the regression equation criteria as set forth in the Guidelines for Determining 100- <br />Year Flood Flows for Approximate Floodplains in Colorado, contingent upon the <br />understanding that the City of Leadville will regulate those approximate floodplains on a case- <br />. by-case basis subject to a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis performed by a <br />professional engineer, in accordance with the determinations of the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board regarding the applicability of the Guidelines for Determining 100-Year <br />Flood Flows for Approximate Floodplains; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a <br />certified copy of this resolution to the City of Leadville; the Board of County Commissioners of <br />Lake County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of <br />Engineers, Albuquerque District; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency. <br /> <br />CERTIFICATE <br /> <br />I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a <br />majority vote of the members of the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular session <br />assembled at Sterling, Colorado, on the 13th day of May, 1996, at which a quorum was present. <br /> <br />\)J _ ~..~ -/. <br />'*'~ - ~- <br /> <br />Peter Evans, Acting Director <br /> <br />fpr422.doc twb <br /> <br />3 <br />
