<br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 92-323 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 15, 1992 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Hazard Information, <br />Dolores River and Tributaries, Dolores, Montezuma County, Colorado", dated September <br />1978, has been prepared by United States Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, <br />at the request of Montezuma County in cooperation with the City of Dolores, Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of <br />Dolores and Montezuma County, by Resolution No. 198 adopted on August 16, 1982, <br />approved and designated the floodplains described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town <br />of Dolores, Colorado," dated September 29, 1989, has been prepared by Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Insurance Study includes detailed floodplain information for <br />the storm and floodwater runoff channels on Dolores River; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Dolores has requested the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas for Dolores River as set forth in the <br />aforesaid Flood Insurance Study; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said the 100-year flood water surface elevations are consistent with the <br />Flood Hazard Information report designated by Resolution No. 198 for those areas within <br />the Town of Dolores; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Flood Insurance Study has AO zones delineated within the <br />previou,ly designated 100-year floodplains (intermediate regional flood); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages <br />therefrom; and <br />
