<br />FPR 215 <br /> <br />, <br />i <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />May 5, 1983 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has <br />previously completed a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, <br />City of Boulder, Colorado," which includes floodplain information <br />and data for Boulder Creek, dated January, 197,8: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the City of Boulder, by resolution' adopted July 11, 1978, <br />approved and designated the floodplains described in said report; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flo'bd Hazard Area <br />Delineation, Boulder Creek," dated January, '1983, has been <br />prepared by Muller Engineering Company, Inc., at the request of <br />the City of Boulder and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br />District; and <br /> <br />\ <br />...J <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Boulder and the Urban Drainage and <br />Flood Control District have requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevention <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />128 <br />res (215) <br />
