SPECIAL STATEMENT RELATIVE
TO FLOOD PLAIN .

Under the provisions of 2.2.2.5 when the subdivision is approved,

it recommended by the Planning Commission or the Board of County COmmissioners,

contracts of sale will state that special building permits will be required to

meet flood contingency. We doubt that there will be any mitigation requirements

of any kind.

SPECIAL STATEMENT RELATIVE
TO FIRE HAZARD

Applicants feel that it will not be necessary to have a separate

map showing wildfire conditions and a report on live and dead vegetation. It'

might be helpful to the Board if pictures of the are were presented. Applicants

do not think that any wildfire hazard exists other than what exists in the South

Fork area and reference has been made to the presence of a fire department at

South Fork. Assuming a pumping unit, a supply of water out of the River would

be available at all times even in winter. As to 2.2.2.8.3. it is true that in the

summer and fall there are dry conditions. Near-by U.S. Forest precautions are

used by means of notices to the public either of closure of the Forest areas or

the fact that the Fore~is very dry. Since there are no pic-nic areas clOse at

hand it is doubtful that a forest fire would arise from this cause. The area

is relatively free from trees and brush.

SPECIAL STATEMENT RELATIVE
TO GEOLOGIC HAZARD.

It is our understanding that the area is not in any hazard prone

area. Therefore no mitigation is proposed. The same is true as to mineral

development. The closet identified mineral development is at Wagon Wheel Gap

which is quite a number of miles away.
