<br />RESOLUTION
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the USDA Soil Conservation Service, at the request of the Towns of Parachute and
<br />DeBeque, Colorado, and the Colorado Water Conservation Board, completed a floodplain information
<br />report entitled "Flood Plain Management Study, Parachute Creek in the vicinity of Parachute, Colorado,
<br />and Roan Creek in the vicinity of DeBeque, Colorado" in August 1985; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report includes detailed floodplain information for Parachute Creek; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Towns of Parachute
<br />and DeBeque and the Boards of County Commissioners of Garfield and Mesa Counties, by Resolution
<br />No. 244, adopted on November 7, 1985, designated and approved the floodplains described in said
<br />report; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, 1. E. Langford & Assoc., Inc., under contract to the Town of Parachute, completed
<br />a floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, Parachute Creek, Colorado
<br />River in the Town of Parachute, Colorado" in October 1989; and .
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said report dated October 1989 revised, on the basis of new surveys and hydraulic
<br />information, the detailed floodplain information that was designated and approved by Resolution No.
<br />244 for that portion of Parachute Creek within the corporate limits of the Town of Parachute, as they
<br />were in October 1989, and provided new detailed floodplain information for that portion of the Colorado
<br />River within the corporate limits of the Town of Parachute, as they were in October 1989; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of Parachute,
<br />by Resolution No. 303, adopted on January 19, 1990, designated and approved the floodplains in said
<br />report and rescinded that portion of Resolution No. 244 relating to Parachute Creek within the corporate
<br />limits of the Town of Parachute, as they were in October 1989; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of Parachute, Colorado,
<br />Garfield County", dated September 27, 1991, has been prepared by the Federal Emergency Management
<br />Agency; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for those portions of
<br />Parachute Creek and the Colorado River within the corporate limits of the Town of Parachute, as they
<br />were on September 27, 1991; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the detailed information contained in said new report is consistent with the detailed
<br />information contained in the report previously designated by Resolution No. 303; and
