I <br />- - - - <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town <br />of Hayden, Colorado," which includes floodplain information and data <br />for Dry Creek, dated December, 1977, has been prepared by the United <br />States Bureau of Reclamation under contract with the Federal Insur- <br />ance Administration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />) WHEREAS Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado <br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of <br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses <br />on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only <br />after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />( <br />, <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to <br />designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins <br />and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of <br />local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that the board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas <br />inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as <br />described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said <br />report; <br /> <br />i <br />'-..' <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this <br />11th day of July, 1978, that it does hereby designate and approve <br />as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a <br />100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface elevations <br />) and profiles in said report; and <br />
