C.R.S AUTHORITY WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(l)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for IllIld uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; llIld COMPLIANCE WITH CWCB TECHNICAL STANDARDS WHEREAS, the detailed floodplain infon11ation in said report dated February 19, 1987 in the City of Holyoke is consistent with the requirements for detailed information listed under the Board's "Rules llIld Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1). DESIGNA nON AND APPROVAL ACTION NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular meeting assembled in Telluride, Colorado, this 13th day of July 1998, that it does hereby designate llIld approve as detailed information the storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins within the City of Holyoke described by detailed floodplain information in said report dated February 19, 1987; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a certified copy of this resolution to the City of Holyoke; the Board of County Commissioners of Phillips County; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; llIld the Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region 8.
