I
I
I
I
I
I

Conduit Extension

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Plan E, the alternate selected for Phase B preliminary planning includes

extending the Cinderella Conduit 1,900 feet upstream along the Little Dry

Creek channel as far as Sherman Street. A conduit to pass the 100-year

flood flow of 4,700 cfs under future watershed conditions with Englewood

Dam and the five additional flood detention dams would require a l2-foot

high by l8-foot wide single barreled section, or its equivalent. Cons-

truction of the conduit extension would allow elimination of the existing

bridges between and including E. Hampden Avenue and Sherman Street, if

final design studies show this to be desirable. Runoff from local rainfall

could be drained into the conduit.

-45-
