The proposed well field will include two wells which the Town expects to use <br />as alternate points of diversion for its Fraser River rights. The Town does expect to file for <br />a change of water rights application to adjudicate the wells as alternate points of diversion. <br />From the information provided, it does not appear that diversions at the well field alternate <br />points will entail an upstream movement of the Town's senior water rights. <br /> <br />Conclusion <br /> <br />Based on the information obtained from the Authority and the Town, it does not <br />appear that this project will adversely affect instream flow water rights. Furthermore, since <br />the project does not involve new water development, there will be no additional use of <br />Colorado's compact entitlement. <br /> <br />Recommendation <br /> <br />The staff reco=ends that the Board notify the Authority that the proposed project <br />will not adversely affect instream flow rights or Colorado's compact entitlement. <br /> <br />lAM] <br /> <br />Attachments <br />
