CITY OF OURAY, COLORADO DEBRIS AND FLOOD CONTROL IMPROVEMENTS CASCADE CREE K PHASE I I BID !TEM DESCRIPTIONS, MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT Payment shall be made only for those items included in the Proposal. All costs incurred shall comply with the provisions of these Specifications and shall be included in the unit price bid for the associated items in the Proposal. Except as may be otherwise stipu"lated, no material, labor, or equi pment wi 11 be furni shed by City. The basi s of measurement. and payment for each proposal item will be as described below: Item No. 100 CLEARING AND GRUBBING. No quanitity measurement will be made for any matenals or work requ-ired to complete th-is item in place. This work shall consist of clearing, grubbing, removing, and disposing of all vege- tation and debris within the I imits of the right-of-way and permanent easement areas and such other areas as may be i ndi cated on the Drawi ngs or requi red by the work, except such Objects as are des"ignated to remain or are to be removed in accordance with other sections of these Specifications. This work shall al so include the preservation from injury or defacement of all vegeta- tion and objects designed to remain. Item No. 101 REMOVAL OF EXISTING CONCRETE FLU~IE. The measurement and payment of this item will be the totar-number~inear feet of eXisting flume required to be removed for construction of the proposed flume measured along the centerl i ne of the fl ume removed. The uni t pri ce bi d per 1 i near foot of removal shall i ncl ude all of the Contractor's costs of whatsoever nature for removing the existing flume. The price bid shall include: excavation; remo- val of surface materials; removing the existing flume; all required transpor- tation of excavated materials; stockpiling the existing flllme on site approved by the Ci ty; protecti on of exi sti ng facil i ties; di sposal of debri s and excess excavated material; and all other related and necessary materials, work, and equipment required to remove the existing flume in accol'c1ance with the Drawings_and Specifications. Item No. 102 and 103 REMOVE, MODIFY AND REPLACE EXISTING BRIDGES. The measurement for payment of thiSTtem Wffi-oe t.he total-riumber of "liridges removed, modified and replaced. The unit pdce bid pE!r bridge shall include all of the Contractor's costs of whatsoever nature. The price bid shall i ncl ude: removal of exi sti ng bri dge structure; storage; modificati ons as shown in the drawi ngs; construction of concrete beari ng surfaces; any barri ca- des, traffi c control, and detour si gns necessary duri ng constructi on; rebuilding and compacting approach roadways; and all other related and necessary material s, work, and equipment necessary to remove, modify and replace the bridge. Item No. 104 PROTECTION OF EXISTING STRUCTURES. No quantity measure- ment wlll be made for any materials or work-requTrea-to complete this item in place. The lump sum price bid for this item shall. include all of the Contractor's costs of whatsoever nature. The price bid will include: 1-11.
