NO. 170 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />823 State Centennial Building <br />1313, Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />December 2, 1980 <br /> <br />R E ~ 0 L,U T lOll <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Town of <br />Red Cliff, Eagle County, Colorado," which includes floodplain <br />information and data for the Eagle River and Turkey Creek,dated <br />December 1979, has' been prepared by (;ingery Associates, Inc., <br />under contract with the Federal Insurance Administration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the flOOdplain <br />data and information fOr the storm and floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins 'of the study area; and <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, the>Town of RedCli.ff has requested the colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and, approve the ,floodplain <br />areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado water Conservation Board'tb assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes,1973, provide that such legislative bodies o'f lOcal <br />jurisdict,ions may provide, zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the ColoradO Water Conservation Board; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1) (c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the ColoradO water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodi'es of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />. '.' <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the BOard has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the colorado water Conservation Board <br />that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those <br />areas inundated by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) <br />as described by the floodwater surface elevations and prOfiles in <br />said report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the ColoradO Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, <br />this 2nd day of December, 1980, that it does hereby designate and <br />approve as floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated <br />by a 100-year flood as described by the floodwater surface eleva- <br />tions and prOfiles in said r~port; and <br />
