The mouse moves the cursor on the screen and activates menus or buttons. There are two main uses of the mouse: activating a menu or button, and positioning the cursor. To activate the menu or a function represented on the row(s) of icons below the menu (the Button Bar or the Power Bar), hold down the left button while moving the mouse until the desired area on the screen is highlighted (known as dragging the mouse). Then release the mouse button (the area will remain highlighted) and activate the menu item or a function represented on the Button Bar or the Power Bar: click the left button rapidly once and release (known as clicking the mouse), For other uses, click the left button rapidly twice (known as double-clicking the mouse).
