WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that
legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along
any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the
Colorado Water Conservation Board; and

COMPLIANCE WITH CWCB TECHNICAL STANDARDS

WHEREAS, the floodplain information in said report dated November 1971 for Little Dry
Creek and Big Dry Creek in the City of Englewood does not meet all of the requirements for
detailed information listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and
Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR
408-1 ).

DESIGNA TION. APPROVAL. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND RESCISSION ACTION

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in
regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this 23rd day of November 1998, that it does
hereby acknowledge the official status of said report dated November 1971, for purposes of the
National Flood Insurance Program, during the period from November 1971 until December 15,
1979, and that it does hereby rescind the storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins for those
portions of Little Dry Creek and Big Dry Creek within the City of Englewood described by detailed
floodplain information in said report dated November 1971, effective retroactively on December
15,1979;and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Board is directed to send a
certified copy of this resolution to the City of Englewood; the City of Cherry Hills Village; the City
of Greenwood Village; the City of Littleton; the City of Sheridan; the City and County of Denver;
the Board of County Commissioners of Arapahoe County; the Urban Drainage and Flood Control
District; the Colorado Office of Emergency Management; the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers,
Omaha District; and the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

I certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution adopted by a majority
